Japanese BBQ Salmon Bowls

Ingredients

Salmon & Marinade

  • 1 lb salmon 

  • 1/4 cup Japanese BBQ Sauce (I like Bachan’s)

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp sriracha

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil 

  • juice of 1 lime

Other ingredients:

  • 1 cup of rice, uncooked

  • 3 Persian cucumbers 

  • squeeze of lime juice

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 tbsp tamari 

  • 1 tbsp chile crisp 

  • your favorite cruciferous bagged salad!

  • Sriracha mayo (I just do a 50/50 mix of sriracha and mayo)

  • Avocado

Method

  1. Cut salmon into bite-sized pieces. 

  2. Toss salmon with marinade. Let sit for 30-45 minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, cook rice, prepare bagged salad, and slice cucumbers. 

  4. Toss cucumber with rice vinegar, tamari, chile crisp, and a squeeze of lime juice.

  5. Place salmon in the air fryer and cook at 400 degrees for 10-13 minutes.

  6. Option to brush additional marinade onto the salmon while it is cooking. 

  7. Serve bowls with cruciferous salad, rice, salmon, marinated cucumbers, and avocado.
